What is the BLACTATION Series?

The BLACTATION Series is a 3-day virtual professional development event featuring BLACK lactation & birth professionals while centering lactation in the Black community and with Black families. The 2026 Series includes 12 sessions led The B.L.A.C.K. Course Team and guest experts in lactation and birth.

Who is this series for?

IBCLCs, midwives, doctors, nurses, other clinicians who support the mother/baby dyad, therapists, childbirth educators, WIC staff, perinatal health workers, IBCLC students, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of culturally grounded lactation care.

Do I need to attend live?

We would prefer that you do. However, we understand that life happens. Live attendance is optional but encouraged for engagement and Q&A.

All registrants receive 90-day access to the session recordings. Access will not be extended beyond the 90 days.

Are payment plans available?

Payment plans can be accessed through Klarna 4 Interest-Free Payments, PayPal, PayPal No Interest Credit, PayPal 4 Payments.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes. Group discounts are available for 3 or more attendees. See our pricing page for details.

Are scholarships available?

At this time, only Alameda County (California) residents or supporters of Alameda County families with children 0-5 are sponsored through our partnership with First 5 Alameda.

Will CERPs be provided?

CERPs have been applied for through International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). We will update all registrants once approval is finalized.

Please note: 18 Contact (Lactation-Specific Educational) Hours are provided for those who are applying for the IBCLC exam.

How will I receive my certificate?

Certificates are issued once post-tests and evaluations are completed

How long will I have access to the recordings?

Attendees receive 90 days of access from the time recordings are posted.

Can I buy recordings without attending live?

Yes. Replay-only access will be available for purchase after the live event. You may purchase:

- individual sessions

- the full 12-session replay package

Will replay-only purchases include CERPs?

Yes—CERPs will be available for replay purchases once approved by IBLCE.

Where will the event be hosted?

The live sessions will take place on the Zoom platform. Replay access will be available inside our Thinkific learning platform.

What if I have trouble accessing the live event or recordings?

Are refunds available?

Refunds are not available. All sales are final.

If you are unable to attend live, you will receive access to the replay.

Will sessions be offered individually later in the year?

Yes. Select sessions will be available as standalone replays with 90 days access.
